Ingenuity Labs Poster Competition and Networking

October 12, 2021 11:30am – 2:00pm EST

Poster Competition

As part of the Robotics and AI Symposium, the Student Poster Competition is an opportunity for Ingenuity labs student members to present their work and become more familiar with research work being performed in other areas of Ingenuity Labs research.

The competition is open to any Master’s or Doctoral student member of Ingenuity Labs. Poster presentations will take place in Gather.Town, a web-conferencing platform that mimics in-person conferences and gives attendees the ability to move around and interact with other participants based on their locations in the virtual spaces.

Posters will fall into two categories: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Best Poster awards will be announced for each category toward the end of the Symposium at 4:30pm.

Networking

While the poster session is active, this time slot is also an opportunity for symposium attendees to engage with one another in discussions related to research involving aspects of robotics, artificial intelligence, or human-machine interaction (HMI).

We are also inviting industry to set up virtual booths to engage with undergraduate and graduate student groups as well as faculty from the wider Queen’s community in general. This is also a great opportunity for faculty to explore opportunities for future collaborative impactful research projects that involve robotics, AI, or HMI.

Please join us and interact with the students presenting their research work as well as other members of Ingenuity Labs and symposium attendees.
