We have a new robot arm!

New robot arm

We’re excited about our new robot manipulator arm. Many thanks to Vention in Montreal, QC, for helping us procure the arm from Universal Robotics. This manipulator is a shared resource for our faculty members and will be used in multiple research projects within our institute.

We are planning to use it in to allow robotic physical interaction with objects for construction or automated daily living activities, as a platform for teleoperation to facilitate haptic interface hardware and control research, and as a platform for studying human-robot interaction.
